Earthquake magnitude 7.1 degrees on the richter scale hit the region 66 km southeast of the town of Bobos in the Philippines said the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The US tsunami watch was issued after a 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck the island of Mindanao in the Philippines.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the damage and consequent seizures were normal, according to CNN.
The quake had a depth of 65.6 km, the USGS said.

The US Public Weather Service said there was no torrent hazard on the US West Coast from the earthquake. Hawaii Emergency Management said Hawaii faced no torrent hazard.
