A drop of reform, then torrent: This is how nations rise when they get wise leadership โ€“ ARAB TIMES โ€“ KUWAIT NEWS

The progress of a nation does not happen out of nowhere. It occurs as a result of a sense of cohesion between living organisms that interact with their own nature and organize themselves into a political and social unit, which is a necessary ingredient for things to work effectively. This is based on the theory established by the Arab sociologist Abdul Rahman bin Khaldun some seven centuries ago.

No country can walk the path of civilization unless it has strong willpower, can anticipate the future, and chart the best paths towards it. You should focus on the planning aspect and ensure its implementation without leaving the matter to chance and reactions.

Based on this conviction, many nations have witnessed various levels of progress, as well as setbacks caused by exceptional situations experienced throughout their history.
However, they were able to dust themselves off when they were facilitated by leading figures who used all national capabilities to benefit the future of their people, achieved miracles and addressed the causes of crises and problems to avoid repetitions and setbacks. that would cause great achievements to be lost.

Information on the role played by the political leadership indicates that it is determined to clean up all the dust caused by the ministerial and parliamentary practices that have led the country into a difficult situation. Both His Highness the Emir and His Highness the Crown Prince, who have been keeping a notable track of everything that is happening, seek to treat political and economic ills quietly and away from the media hype.

It seeks to consolidate the principle of assigning matters to specialists, and to bury the tribal, family and sectarian quotas and the interests of the influential who greatly damaged the country and its people.
Everyone who meets the leadership has the sense of conviction that increases the reassurance of the fact that a new mindset is running the affairs of the country, which has been sufficiently mistreated when matters were assigned to the wrong people in ministerial and administrative positions such as result of the agreements. which led to the relegation of unknown persons to executive positions and caused successive crises.

To get out of this impasse, the political leadership is working on creating conditions to use and invest all available opportunities for Kuwait to regain what it lost when the influence of opportunists prevailed over reason in the executive and legislative institutions, which led to the weakening of the state.
There is no doubt that this heralds a major shift in public affairs, which had previously been neglected, either because of disputes and struggles for influence in parliament and the cabinet, or as a result of the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic, It was imposed for almost two years in all in the country.

Countries sometimes suffer setbacks until strong leadership emerges to bring them to safety. History is full of evidence in this regard, including in the Gulf region, similar to what the late King Abdulaziz bin Saud did to unite the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia when faced with great difficulties.
Saudi Arabia urgently needed all possible experiences for improvement, so it issued a series of bold decisions and regulations, and personally oversaw their implementation. He knew from the beginning that there is no resurgence of a state without hard work and determination.

All its rulers followed this approach, so that today, this country, under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and with direct monitoring, perseverance and great effort of Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, is entering an advanced stage of economy, politics and social transformation, making it the talk of the whole world.
The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, did the same. Despite the small size of the state, it made it an economic powerhouse and stopped all the noise around it that kept it away from its neighbors. The leaders of the United Arab Emirates,

especially Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, were able to transform and develop it in various fields. Currently, the UAE has reached the ranks of developed countries in a short period of time to enter the space age from its widest doors.
On the Arab side, a leader who took his country to a better level is Egyptian President Abdul Fattah el-Sisi. In just seven years, he managed to achieve many achievements, overcoming the great devastation caused by the Muslim Brotherhood Group's control of power, in addition to the many negative aspects left by the period of the Abdul-Nasser revolution and its aftermath in terms of economy. political distortions and heresies.

Internationally, Singapore, for example, was an island that suffered from extreme poverty, but it changed because of a man named Lee Kuan Yew, an economic tiger. Then the current Prime Minister Halimah Yacob followed him and completed the difficult path in the construction process and achieved the highest income on an individual level.

Singapore is not the only country whose leaders had a distinctive character in its history. Britain, during the Margaret Thatcher era, managed to emerge from its financial stagnation in 11 years and regain its strength. At the time, he did not submit to the forces of political pressure and followed the path of reform, putting the interests of the United Kingdom above all else.

There is no doubt that Kuwait has all the capabilities that enable it to follow the passage of time and progress at all levels, which is what the political leadership is looking for today.
For his own interests, His Highness the Emir determinedly sought to make Kuwait an important icon in the region, considering that it has money and manpower. However, the only thing missing is firm decisions and efforts to curb the political absurdity that left the country behind.
