A torrent of tomatoes will target Tallahassee this Sunday

Red Hills Small Farm Alliance is holding its annual celebration of the humble tomato this Sunday. In addition to eating a lot of tomato, the event will include music, fun and games.

One of the Alliance farmers is Louise Devine, who owns Turkey Hill Farm and is pretty much in charge of the event.

"The Tomato Feastival is our annual event and fundraiser for our organization, which is Red Hills Small Farm Alliance."

Devine said farmers will come from as far away as Marianna, Madison and Moultrie to show off their produce. There will be plenty of tomato-based dishes, contests for the best tomatoes, music, and even an old-fashioned pie walk.

"You buy a ticket and you walk around to the music and someone wins a cake."

The Tomato Feastival takes place this Sunday from 2-6 at the Goodwood Museum and Gardens in Tallahassee.
