AHMEDABAD: Since the central government has decided to revise the domestic natural gas pricing guidelines, power companies have reduced the prices of compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped natural gas (PNG) in Gujarati.

ATGL said: "We have decided to pass the benefit of the new gas pricing guidelines on to our PNG and CNG consumers, making it more affordable with savings of more than 40% for CNG users compared to the price of gasoline and around 15% for PNG consumers compared to LPG Price". It also announced a drop in PNG prices for industrial and commercial consumers of Rs 3/SCM.
Torrent Gas has reduced the prices of CNG and PNG in Junagadh. Jinal Mehta, Director of Torrent Gas, said: "The revised gas price guidelines will help reduce volatility in domestic CNG and PNG prices and the long-term roadmap provided under the revised guidelines will encourage wide-scale adoption. of CNG and PNG".
Torrent Gas said in a statement: "This will make CNG up to 47% cheaper compared to petrol and 41% cheaper compared to diesel in Junagadh. Domestic PNG will be up to 28% cheaper than domestic LPG".
