Anonymous Announces New Leak Of Epik Data

The Anonymous hacking collective has released what it claims to be new data from the controversial web hosting company. Epic.

In a press release on Tuesday, the hacktivist group announced what it called "The / b / Sides" or the second part of "Operation EPIK FAIL."

Anonymous took credit earlier this month for rape Epik, known for hosting far-right websites like It gave, Talk, and TheDonald, before launching a 180 GB cache of the domain registrar's data. The hack affected more than 15 million people and exposed names, physical addresses, passwords, credit card numbers, emails, and more.

Now, the hacktivist collective says it has leaked "multiple boot disk images from various systems" into a torrent file of about 70GB.

"[Y]You didn't think we completely mastered Epik and we just left with a few databases and a system folder or two, did you? "says the press release." We are anonymous. Flexing as hard as we can is how we do a barrel twist (Press Z or R twice!) ".

WhiskeyNeon, a Texas-based hacker and cybersecurity expert who reviewed the file structure of the leak, told the Daily Dot how the disk images represented the entire infrastructure of Epik's server.

"Files are one thing, but a virtual machine disk image allows you to boot the entire company server on your own," he said. โ€œUsually we see gaps with dumps of databases, documents, configuration files, and so on. In this case, we are talking about the complete image of the server, with all the programs and files necessary to host the application it is serving โ€.

The data includes API keys and plain text login credentials not only for Epik's system, but also for Coinbase, PayPal, and the company's Twitter account.

After the first leak, Epik initially denied it was aware of any breach before later admitting that it was investigating "an alleged security incident."

Epik CEO Rob Monster, who did not respond to the Daily Dot's requests for comment, would continue to run for more than four hours. live video conferencing online to tackle the initial trick. The gathering would see Monster erupt in prayer numerous times, attempting to defeat demons, and warning viewers that their hard drives could burst into flames due to "curses" placed on the hacked data.

Monster admitted during the call that an unknown individual had attempted to steal $ 100,000 after obtaining his API key from Coinbase.

The leak would reveal everything from the right-wing domains targeted with citations and attempts by conservatives Ali alexander to conceal their links to voter fraud conspiracy websites in the wake of the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill.

Epik's second data breach comes just days after the Oath Keepers militia, a group that began using Epik's services in January, allegedly went hacked as well as. Emails, internal chats and data from the paramilitary group about members and donors, including those who work for the US government and military, would be exposed as a result.
