Bitcoin surged in value on Tuesday, extending the largest cryptocurrency's advance even after failing to hold intraday highs.
The digital token was trading at around $33,647 around 5 pm ET, up 6.5% from its level on Monday. Earlier in the day it traded as high as $35,059, its highest intraday level since May 2022.
