A new James Bond release is a huge problem in the movie industry, one that generally comes with increased safety precautions. That didn't stop "No Time to Die" from leaking onto pirate sites shortly after it hit international theaters and before the US premiere. Whether many pirates will be interested in low-quality images with ads is up for debate.

timeless linkThis week "No Time to Die" was released in theaters around the world.

Some countries have to wait a little longer to see the latest Bond movie. These include the US, Russia, and France, which are one week late.

In Australia, Bond fans will have to be even more patient for the premiere planned for mid-November.

This staggered release schedule is not uncommon. However, in this case, it leads to the unfortunate situation that pirated copies of the movie are already widely available online before people can legally view them.

Pirates leak "No time to die"

During the last hours, several copies of "No Time to Die" began to circulate. The leaks appear to come from at least two different sources, which were recorded in movie theaters. One comes with Dutch subtitles and the other is dubbed in Hindi.

What both releases have in common is that the video quality is relatively low. Not only that, they are also filled with advertisements for gambling equipment such as 1XBET and Slotlights, which are encoded in the video, as shown below;

These "sponsored" releases suggest that someone has been paid to place the gambling ads there. This practice It is not new but, according to an unconfirmed report from NDTVThere are even intermittent gambling ads included in some releases.

While Hollywood in general is quite concerned about the pre-release leaks, interest in these pirated copies of Bond has been relatively modest. It's probably for a good reason.

Aside from the fact that it is illegal to share pirated movies, we doubt that any true movie fan would prefer a low-quality release over waiting a few more days.

Low-quality "camera" releases tend to be ignored by most hackers, as recent data has confirmed. Even people who do not intend to pay for a theater ticket prefer to wait for a higher quality pirated version, which usually appears when the digital release comes out.

This difference was also highlighted in our recent comparison between Piracy figures from "Black Widow" and "Shang-Chi". A high-quality copy of the first was made available on pirate sites immediately after its release, resulting in much higher piracy numbers, for now.

While Bond's piracy number isn't staggering, it certainly wouldn't hurt to bring international box office releases a little closer. Especially for those poor Bond fans in Australia.
