The two men pose for the camera with a trophy, medals and a certificate commemorating their victory in a pub quiz in what would otherwise be an unremarkable photo.
However, the name of the team, "Ali Baba and the 37 Thieves", revealed on the certificate, gives a compelling idea of a company that allegedly lost tens of thousands of British pounds sterling.
The photo, posted on the Instagram account of cryptocurrency firm EverFX, was subpoenaed by Spanish police during their investigation of hundreds of companies suspected of being involved in an estimated £2 billion fraud.
