Broner Unleashes Torrent Of Hate Speech At Cobbs In Final Press Conference โ€“ Latest Boxing News

Adrien Broner unleashed a storm of insults filled with expletives and homophobic slurs towards his opponent Blair 'The Flair' Cobbs during today's final press conference for a third fight this Friday night, June 7, in Hollywood, Florida.

The downward spiral of a troubled fighter

Broner (35-4-1, 24 KOs), looking thin and very agitated today, tore apart Cobbs (16-1-1, 10 KOs), talking about guns, shooting and sounding like he wasn't a happy camper. It was sad to see how Broner was reduced to destroying a guy who wouldn't have been good enough to share the ring with during his prime.

โ€œI come to die if necessary. I do not know what [Cobbs] comes to do,โ€ Broner said during today's conference final press conference. โ€œI'm going to go so far. I'm going to die in that ring. Don't play any games. All I have to do is point and they will explode.

โ€œSo don't come here to play. Don't make any wrong moves. I'm not playing. I'll slap you. They'll shoot you in the ass.

The rest of Broner's comments were more along the same lines. At one point, Broner took off his shirt and said he was ready to intervene right there. Interestingly, Broner still had a belly and had not lost all of the weight he had accumulated since his last fight.

A change for the worse

Some believe that AB is angry and loses a lot of weight during preparation and can't eat because he has to get in shape for one of his rare fights.

Broner's once-promising career has evaporated since 2013, with legal problems, weight gain and deteriorating skills.

You could tell from Broner's exhausted appearance that he had gone through hell to lose the weight he had accumulated since his last fight a year ago, in June 2023, against the little-known Bill Hutchinson.

If Broner loses this fight, it's hard to know where he goes from here. He still dreams of getting fights against names, but that doesn't seem realistic.

He hasn't beaten a notable fighter since his controversial victory over Paulie Malingaggi in 2013, and that was 11 years ago in a fight many felt he deserved to lose.

During the former four-division world champion's prime, Broner, when he was still a relevant fighter, was witty and entertaining during his press conferences, but he became loudmouthed and has changed for the worse.
