Buy high, sell high: Custom pipe-maker to Snoop Dogg and Santana tokenizes bongs

Las Vegas-based glass pipe maker for the stars Jerome Baker Designs will launch a series of bong-related NFTs tied to corresponding physical assets early next month.

NFTs, on FDCTech's Ethereum-based platform, represent the unique glass blowing process for each bong and come with additional unique benefits. They will be released on Super Bowl Sunday (February 13) and the corresponding physical bongs will be Auctioned off at Superchief Gallery.

Jerome Baker Designs founder and president Jason Harris is considered one of the The ten best glass blowers in the world., according to the SLX smoking products market.

He founded the company in the early 1990s and has manufactured custom parts for celebrities like Snoop Dogg, George Clooney, Grateful Dead, Santana and Rita Marley.

He told Cointelegraph that he is excited to enter the world of crypto-powered digital art.

โ€œAs an artist, we need a certificate of authenticity to connect with art. The NFTs act as a certificate of authenticity and create value and legacy โ€.

According to Harris, while other art forms such as sculpture can be tanned and paintings can be replicated or copied, glass blowing is a one-time endeavor that cannot be replicated.

โ€œYou will have a documented experience of creating that work of art and that is where the magic lies. It's like buying a pair of Jordans. If you ever want to sell them, you may need the packaging in perfect condition. The NFT acts as an authentication certificate and the artwork acts as the package. โ€

Those who own an NFT bong will receive real-world benefits such as glass blowing classes and a visit to the Las Vegas Dream Factory (Jerome Baker Designs headquarters).
