Camilla and King Charles victims of same ‘abuse’ as Harry and Meghan

Queen consort Camilla and king charles have been victims of the same abuse that was partly to blame for prince harry and Meghan Markle leaving the Royal Family, a royal expert has declared. Express.co.uk's royal correspondent Richard Palmer explained at this week's Royal Round Up how people have attacked and criticized the King and Queen Consort ever since their relationship became public.

All family members have been victims of online abuse on social media, and Harry and Meghan took steps to gather information on the perpetrators.

Speaking to Pandora Forsyth, Palmer said: "I think this needs to be called out, social media companies need to do more about it, they need to end anonymity to begin with.

"This is where I think the Sussexes were right, they got this guy Christopher Bouzy to do some analysis and found that it was a small number of accounts that were abusing them, but they amplified it a lot.

"We also see the same thing on the other side, we see their bearers, including some people they have thanked for their support, vehemently abusing the King, Queen Consort, Prince and Princess of Wales and other family members. "

When asked how Charles and Camilla handle criticism, Palmer replied: "Obviously they're used to it, the story of Camilla having bagels thrown at her back in the 1990s in a supermarket I think is fiction, it's repeated from time to time. once in a while". again.

"At the time, she was an extremely unpopular person, she and the then-Prince Charles were blamed by many people for the death of Princess Diana.

"They got used to it and have the luxury, unlike the politicians, musicians and actors who are in the public spotlight knowing they are in it for the long haul.

"They can always think that 'we're not popular on the soap right now, but later we have time to make up'."

People Polling, conducted by GB News, asked whether members of the public have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of Camilla.

According to the poll, 33 percent gave a positive answer, while 30 percent were not in favor of it.

Polling expert Professor Matt Goodwin said: "These figures will come as a relief at Buckingham Palace.

"We found that overall Camilla has a net positive rating with British audiences, underscoring how long she's come in the public mindset since the 1990s.

"This is especially the case among older voters who are much more supportive than younger Gen Z voters."
