A fan posted a tweet on X: โ€œCharli and Jarvis collab WHEN PLEASEโ€ which had over 3600 views and 1800 likes. Upon releasing the remix, XCX fans went crazy over Lorde collaboration especially those who have been keeping up with the duo's relationship over the years โ€“ for them, the original song 'Girl, so confused' seemed to allude strongly to it.

Charli previously spoke openly about her relationship with Lorde, Admitting she was โ€œsuper jealousโ€ of Lordeโ€™s success when she was youngerโ€œShe liked my music. She had long hair and so did I. She wore black lipstick and I wore black lipstick. You draw these parallels and think, โ€˜Well, that could have been me,โ€™ but it couldnโ€™t have been because weโ€™re completely different people.โ€

The inclusion of Lorde's collaboration has added a whole new dimension to the song for fans: many reacted to her confessional verse as a deeply resonant look at the complications of female friendships, while some were moved by the 'Melodrama'Artist singing openly about living with anorexia.

Elsewhere in Glastonbury, Charli took to the Levels stage for 'Charli XCX presents Partygirl', where she invited her special guests Romy and Robyn for a rendition of 'With Every Heartbeat' and a remix of 'Dancing On My Own'.

Fans took to social media to share their frustration that her set was not available to watch, with one fan saying: "in the name of summer how the hell was Charli XCX on a non-televised stage at Glastonbury?"

Others were quick to point out the venue's capacity - which, while in keeping with Charli's DJ roots, is limited to just 7,000 people - joking: "It's actually crazy not being able to get into Charli XCX's DJ set at Glasto."

In A four-star review of 'Brat', NME wrote: โ€œAll of this paints a picture of who XCX will be in 2024.

โ€œGrowing pains, grief, and painful self-doubt are met with self-confidence, celebration, and knowledge of XCXโ€™s place in the music landscape; in fact, she begins โ€˜360โ€™ with the certainty, โ€œI followed my own path and I made it / Iโ€™m your favorite go-to baby.โ€ With โ€˜Brat,โ€™ XCX proves that following her own path will always sound pretty good.โ€
