City of Asheville announces City Council meeting: October 24, 2023 โ€“ The City of Asheville

The next Asheville City Council meeting will be held at 5 pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. The meeting will be held in the Council Room on the second floor of City Hall, 70 Court Plaza.

The agenda of the Council meeting is posted on the city website.

According to North Carolina General Statute ยง 143-318.10 This will be an in-person meeting that the public can also access remotely through any of the following means found at: https://publicinput.com/l6685

Where to look

The City Council meeting will be broadcast live on Charter/Spectrum channel 193 and broadcast on City YouTube channelor through City Virtual Engagement Center accessible through the cover of the City website.

Comment in person

Persons wishing to speak live at the meeting must attend in person and register at the door before entering the Council Chamber.

Additionally, comments can be emailed directly to the Council at any time at ashevillencconuncil@ashevillenc.gov.

Presentations at the Meeting

For those wishing to make a slide or PowerPoint presentation at a formal City Council meeting, the presentation should be sent to Maggie Burleson at mburleson@ashevillenc.gov before 12:00 pm on Monday, October 23, 2023.

To accommodate those who do not yet feel safe attending in person, or those who have other barriers to participating in person, City Hall will continue to accept remote comments via email or voicemail through the Participation Center until 9 a.m. on the day of the City Council meeting. .

Parking available

If you are attending the City Council meeting, free parking will be available in the two city employee parking lots along Marjorie Street after 4:30 pm on the day of the meeting.
