Cng Retail Price Cut By 2.5 Per Kg | Chandigarh News โ€“ Times of India

Chandigarh: Torrent Gas, a company authorized by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to distribute compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped natural gas (PNG) in Punjab, has announced a reduction of Rs 2.50 per kg on the retail price of CNG in its areas of operation across the country including Patiala, Sangrur, Mohali and Malerkotla.
With this, CNG is now up to 39% cheaper than gasoline. CNG prices have been reduced to promote the use of clean fuel and improve the natural gas ecosystem. Manoj Jain, CEO, Torrent Gas, said, โ€œTorrent Gas has always been at the forefront in promoting the use of environment-friendly CNG. This reduction in CNG prices is expected to increase the consumption of new CNG vehicles and increase the consumption of natural gas in the transportation segment.โ€
