Bitcoin (BTC) fell 1.1% to $29,820, while Ethereum (ETH) was below the $1,900 level. BTC volume stood at approximately $15.1 billion, increasing 31.47% in the last 24 hours.
The global cryptocurrency market capitalization was trading lower, around $1.2 trillion, falling 0.91% over the past 24 hours.
"Bitcoin continued to trade below the US$30,000 mark for another day in a row, influenced by several factors including investor profit-taking and the strengthening US dollar," said Edul Patel, co-founder and CEO of Mudrex.
BTC is currently facing immediate resistance at the $30,000 level, while support can be found at the $29,600 level, Edul added. Total volume in DeFi is currently $4.36 billion, 11.8% of the total 24-hour volume of the crypto market. The volume of all stablecoins is now at $33.4 billion, representing 90.38% of the total 24-hour volume of the crypto market.
The market capitalization of Bitcoin, the world's largest cryptocurrency, was around $579 billion. Bitcoin dominance is currently at 48.26%, down 0.09% over the day, according to CoinMarketCap. $30,000 and even $30,500," said Sathvik Vishwanath, co-founder and CEO of Unocoin.
Rajagopal Menon, Vice President of WazirX, said: "Major market oscillators point to neutral sentiment. The Relative Strength Index (14) sits at 50, with a neutral outlook. Stochastic %K (14, 3, 3) at 16 and the average directional index (14) at 31 indicates a neutral outlook."
"MACD level (12, 26), at 189, indicates sell. Fast Stochastic RSI (3, 3, 14, 14) is neutral at 4 and William Percentage also indicates buy sentiment at -83," Menon added.
