Crypto Price Today Live: Bitcoin holds above $24,400; Shiba Inu, Polygon rise up to 5%

New Delhi: The cryptocurrency markets were trading higher on Thursday. Bitcoin (BTC) fell 1.21% to $24,407, while Ethereum (ETH) broke above the $1,650 mark. BTC volume in the last 24 hours stood at approximately $29.04 billion, falling 17.78% in the last 24 hours.

“The crypto market was a bit nervous after the FOMC minutes showed that inflation and recession threats are still real. BTC and other digital assets were in the red after the discouraging FOMC meeting minutes, but the market quickly digested the shock and recovered. It will be interesting to see if central banks will continue their aggressive stance or ease monetary policies in the coming weeks," said Shivam Thakral, CEO of BuyUcoin.

Other major crypto tokens also traded higher on Thursday. Shiba Inu increased by 5%. Solana, Cardano, Polygon and BNB were also trading with gains. The global cryptocurrency market capitalization was around $1.11 trillion, up 1.26% in the last 24 hours.

Total volume in DeFi is currently 7.42 billion, or 12.12% of the total 24-hour volume of the crypto market. The volume of all stablecoins is now at $55.47 billion, representing 90.69% of the total 24-hour volume of the crypto market.

The market capitalization of Bitcoin, the world's largest cryptocurrency, was around $471.03 billion. Bitcoin dominance is currently at 42.44%, down 0.01% over the day, according to CoinMarketCap.

"Leading market indicators continue to point to neutral sentiment. The Relative Strength Index (14), one of the key indicators, sits at 61.76, with a neutral outlook. The Stochastic %K (14, 3, 3) and The Directional Average Index (14) is at 77.66 and 37.35, respectively, indicating a neutral market," said Rajagopal Menon, Vice President of WazirX.

"The MACD level (12, 26), at 721.47, indicates a buy. The Fast Stochastic RSI (3, 3, 14, 14) is at 67.68 with a neutral indicator, while the Williams percentage range (14) is at − 18.03 also neutral signs," added Menon.
