Bitcoin (BTC), the world's oldest and most valued cryptocurrency, began 2024 on a somewhat stable note, hovering around the $42,000 mark early Monday morning. Popular altcoins, including Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Litecoin (LTC), Solana (SOL), and Dogecoin (DOGE), saw a mix of minor gains and losses across the board. The 1inch Network token (1INCH) became the biggest gainer of the lot, jumping nearly 25 percent in 24 hours. The FTX Token (FTT), on the other hand, became the biggest loser with a drop of more than 9 percent in 24 hours.
The global crypto market capitalization stood at $1.65 trillion at the time of writing, recording a loss of 0.36 percent in 24 hours.

The price of Bitcoin stood at $42,353.25, registering a jump of 0.34 percent in 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap. According to Indian exchange WazirX, the price of BTC stood at Rs 37.54 lakh.
Ethereum (ETH) price today
The price of ETH stood at $2,277.07, marking a loss of 0.19 percent over 24 hours at the time of writing. According to WazirX, the price of Ethereum in India stood at Rs 2.02 lakh.
Dogecoin (DOGE) price today
DOGE recorded a 0.94 percent drop in 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap, currently priced at $0.08906. According to WazirX, the Dogecoin price in India stood at Rs 7.94.
Litecoin (LTC) price today
Litecoin saw a drop of 0.52 percent in 24 hours. At the time of writing, it was trading at $72.52. LTC price in India stood at Rs 6,472.62.
Ripple Price (XRP) Today
The price of XRP stood at $0.6121, with a loss of 1.46 percent in 24 hours. According to WazirX, the price of Ripple stood at Rs 54.25.
