YouTuber Sekiro Dubi, who previously discovered a alternative opening inside Elden RingFiles ofrecently found some unused maps and resources for the game. Dubi has discovered many hidden assets that have been hidden in the game files. Some examples of the cut content they found include quest lines, massive objects like big heads, cutscenes, and an entire game mechanic called the Cataclysm System.
Elden Ring player finds new cave after playing for over 400 hours
An Elden Ring player comes across a unique cave on their sixth playthrough, and it looks like they're not the only one who missed it.
In a video posted to YouTube, Sekiro Dubi reviews some unused maps ranging from Deeproot Depths to Consecated Snowfield. The maps traverse a large light blue textured terrain that leads to an elevator and the player moves towards the snowfield area. At the end of the path, there is a cut NPC named Rhico. Rhico would have mentioned to the player that he had opened a passage for himself as a result of the player's actions. As these areas are unfinished, there is no proper lighting nor can any enemies be found.
Discovered by the same YouTuber, Elden Ring It was meant to have a "Cataclysm" system. Sekiro Dubi has a separate video that discusses the cutting system in more detail. This system would have areas open or closed due to the player's actions in the game. Some areas would burst into snow or suffer a meteorite impact and a hole would open. underground road in Elden Ring's massive map.
