The latest Elden Ring speedrunning trick to discover is making Torrent fly through a rift that turns him into a flying horse once he's been summoned. This means that players will have access to the entire map, whether they play on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, or Xbox One.
How to blow Torrent in Elden Ring
To get a flying horse in the Elden Ring, players need to head to one of two places where they can go uphill where the plane of death is directly below. The first is the northwest ledge in Bestial Sanctum, while the second is a ledge just outside of Volcano Manor. Once there, players must:
- Slowly back off the edge of the ledge.
- Before completely falling off the ledge, turn so that Torrent is now facing up and climb over the edge of the ledge. Due to the angle, it will appear to be running on the spot.
- Repeatedly press L3 to jump off the horse just before falling off the ledge. Torrent will continue to fall into the plane of death, but not you.
- Go to a safe place on the ledge and summon Torrent. This will cause a Flask of Crimson Tears animation but Torrent will not actually appear.
- Summon Torrent again. This time he will appear and blow up.
The glitch is incredibly difficult to pull off and will take a lot of practice before you can pull it off consistently. However, players are now hoping that this is yet another glitch to help them get back to possible sub-30 minute speedruns sooner. update 1.03.
