Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree Already Has An Easy Mode Mod

Reflexes

  • Elden Ring fans have complained so much about Shadow of the Erdtree's difficulty that there are already a couple of easy mode mods.
  • One simply reduces damage taken, while the other turns you into Wolverine lite.
  • You can download them for free on your PC, but console players will have to endure.

Fire ring Fans are getting their golden dung kicked in Shadow of the Erdtree, so much so that negative reviews have poured in on the Steam page and dragged the overall score to "Mixed". There is a solution if you are willing to cheat.

"Erdtree's Easy Shadow" It's a mod that does exactly what it says. Reduces all enemy damage to around 35 percent, making you die slower since you can take many more hits. "You can also use this mod to learn the boss patterns without dying so many times, before getting rid of it and trying the mode [FromSoftware] planned," writes the creator.

I reviewed Shadow of the Erdtree
(in New Game Plus no less, around level 160-170), and I'm honestly confused by the reception. I'm by no means a big Soulsborne player and I didn't find it as difficult as people say. My only advice is to go out and explore and find those fragments,
they make it much easier.

Since this is a mod, it only works for PC players. If you're on console and you're struggling, you're going to have to dig in and hang in there, find those bits, hammer some points in, and get to work. However, if you're thinking about picking up this fan-made add-on, you'll want to make sure you play offline. There is always the risk of getting banned with mods.

If that's not enough, there's a Wolverine mod

If this is still too difficult for you, there is another mod called "Wolverine Mode" causing you to take 50 percent less damage while passively regenerating health and FP. You will also deal double damage and recover all Runes immediately.

It even makes Marika's new Blessing, which is essentially the Divine Blessing of
Dark souls
an item of infinite use.

This is the largest easy mode mod out there right now, but the creator recommends that you use claws if you download it for that true Wolverine experience.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

Shadow of the Erdtree is the first and only DLC expansion for FromSoftware's groundbreaking Elden Ring. It takes players to an entirely new region, the Land of Shadows, where a new story awaits the Tarnished.
