The Elden Ring speedrunners were forced to scramble for a new strategy when the game patch 1.03 hit last week. That update heavily nerfed several speed crutches used by record holder Distortion2, which has naturally led to a scramble to find better ways to break the game. Elden Ring players may have already found an answer: make the horse fly.
It's hard to track down exactly who discovered the flaw first, but the first video dates from March 17. It works like this: In certain areas of the map, you need to take Torrent down immediately before letting him sink to his death. Then, when you spawn the horse again, it will be able to run through the sky, like a pegasus.
