Five uplift schemes worth Rs24.959bn approved

LAHORE: The government on Wednesday approved five development schemes from different sectors at an estimated cost of Rs24.959 billion.

These schemes were approved at the 37th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Group (PDWP) of the current fiscal year 2022-23 chaired by the Chairman of the Planning and Development Board, Dr. Wasif Khurshid.

The approved development schemes included Punjab Public Private Partnership Improvement Project at a cost of Rs 18.981 billion, Punjab Barani Tract Integrated Farm Development by ABAD at a cost of Rs 1 billion, Establishment of the Park Dargai Gill Forestry at a cost of Rs 559,668 million, Mithawan Hill Torrent Management in DG Khan District at a cost of Rs 3,317 crore, and Chachar Hill Torrent Floodwater Management in Rajanpur District at a cost of 1102 crores.

Also attending the meeting were the Provincial Secretary of the R&D Board, Dr. Muhammad Sohail Anwar Chaudhry, all members of the Planning and Development Board, the Provincial Secretaries of the concerned departments and other high-level representatives of the relevant provincial departments.
