Flooding in Kachho disrupts land link of 50 villages

DADU-Nai Gaj, the main mountain stream in the Kirthar range, has been inundated after a flash flood flow from Balochistan entered Sindh on Sunday.
The water level in the Gaj stream has reached a height of 18 feet, according to a report.
Several local roads have been submerged after flooding in other watercourses in the Kachho area, including Nai Nali, Nai Sori, Angani, Halhali and others.
The Haji Khan and Wahi Pandhi roads have also been drowned under the flood waters.
The land link of up to 50 villages and rural communities has been interrupted with Johi in Dadu district due to flooding in Nai Gaj and other local waterways.
The flood stream was currently passing through the village of Chhinni and was destined to be discharged into the Manchhar Lake. Balochistan and Sindh last year experienced record heavy rains during last year's monsoon season.
