Four dead, two missing in Chinaโ€™s mountain torrents

A car in southwest China's Chongqing Township was washed away by flash torrential flooding, killing four and leaving two others missing, local authorities said. Xinhua News Agency reports.

The accident occurred around 1 pm when the car was driving from Bashan Township, Zhongxian County, to Baima Village, Xinli Township of Chongqing. Mountain torrents caused by sudden heavy rains washed away the vehicle.

So far, two people in the car have been rescued. More rescue and investigation work on the accident is underway.
