Free Saturday bus rides in December

Getting around before Christmas just got easier. Bracknell Forest Council offers free single bus journeys on Thames Valley Buses and Reading Buses during the first 4 Saturdays in December.

Funded by the Department for Transport, this offer allows anyone to board a bus in Bracknell Forest for free. Passengers traveling outside the municipality must pay for the return trip. Anyone can enjoy this benefit on December 2, 9, 16 and 23, regardless of their destination. The offer will not be available on December 30.

Both experienced travelers and newcomers are welcome. Passengers can plan their trip in the My trip to Bracknell Forest website.

Cllr Guy Gillbe, Executive Member for Planning and Transport, said:

โ€œThis initiative has many positive aspects and we are delighted to be able to offer it to locals and visitors to the municipality.

โ€œChristmas can be a tough time financially, so being able to travel on the bus for free will really make a difference. Whether you're shopping, eating out or visiting one of our award-winning parks, our bus network is an efficient and environmentally friendly way to get there.

"If you haven't used our bus network yet, I encourage you to take this offer and see how easy it can be."
