Domenec Torrent was named Galatasaray's new coach on Tuesday, replacing Fatih Terim, according to Anadolu Agency.
The appointment was announced by President Burak Elmas during a press conference.
Galatasaray previously parted ways with Terim by mutual agreement following the team's poor results in the Turkish Super League.
Torrent, 59, was assistant to Spanish coach Pep Guardiola in Barcelona, โโBayern Munich and Manchester City between 2007 and 2018.
Later, the Spaniard managed Flamengo in Brazil and New York City as the head coach of the Red Bulls.
