Guardiola Former Assistant Favorite For Super Eagles Job

Domenec Torrent, former assistant to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, is expected to be named the new coach of the Super Eagles should the Technical Committee of the Nigerian Football Federation choose a foreign coach.

An NFF insider, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that Torrent's extensive resume made him a leading candidate for the Super Eagles job should they decide not to select the local coach.

Recall that the National Football League (NFL) received more than 40 applications from international coaches competing for the Super Eagles position.

Throughout his coaching career, the 61-year-old has collaborated closely with Guardiola at Barcelona, โ€‹โ€‹Bayern Munich and Manchester City, where they achieved great success and won several championships.
