Some residents whose homes were flooded during Storm Babet will not return home in time for Christmas, a councilor has warned.
Gavin Nicol, representing Brechin and Edzell Ward, said the full extent of the damage in the Angus town of Brechin had not yet been established, and parts of the town were still covered in contaminated mud and silt.
Asked when some people would return home, he told BBC Scotland. Sunday's show: "It will be a long period.
"It will take some sorting.
"These houses won't be ready for Christmas."
