How do I transfer my Crypto?

PayPal supports transferring cryptocurrency between PayPal, Venmo, and other wallets and exchanges. PYUSD can be transferred between PayPal and exchanges that support it. PYUSD can also be sent to most Ethereum addresses on wallets that support ERC-20 tokens.

To send cryptocurrency outside of PayPal, you will need to provide the address of the wallet you want to send the cryptocurrency to. Cryptocurrencies sent to the wrong type of address (for example, Bitcoin Cash sent to a Bitcoin address) will be lost. For PayPal USD, first check with your external wallet to confirm that they will accept your PYUSD.

Here's how to make a transfer to an external BTC address or PayPal customer:

1. Go to the Finance tab.
2. Tap your crypto balance.
3. Tap on the Transfer arrows.
4. Tap Send.

• If you want to sync your PayPal contacts so you can send them cryptocurrency, tap Sync your contacts.
• Tap OK to allow PayPal to access your contacts.

• Make sure you send it to the correct recipient. Cryptocurrencies sent to the wrong address will be lost.
• You can enter an exact amount of a cryptocurrency to send if you know it
• Or you can enter a dollar amount. We will calculate approximately how much the amount of cryptocurrency you entered is worth and send that amount of cryptocurrency. The dollar value of the cryptocurrency sent will change over time, so it could be worth more or less when the recipient receives it.

Here's how to receive cryptocurrency by sharing your PayPal destination address:

1. Go to the Finance tab.
2. Tap your crypto balance.
3. Tap on the Transfer arrows.
4. Tap Receive.
5. Choose which currency you want to receive, for example BTC
6. Your QR code and Bitcoin address will appear.
7. You also can Copy either Email the direction.

We will inform you by email when you receive cryptocurrency. You can always see the status of the transfer within your Activity.

Keep in mind:

• Only Bitcoins should be sent to this address. Cryptocurrencies sent to the wrong address type (e.g. BTC vs. BCH) will be lost.
• Every time you receive BTC, your address will change for privacy reasons. But each new address will be permanent and will be able to receive cryptocurrency.

How much can I transfer?

In the US, the maximum amount for weekly cryptocurrency transfers is $10,000 per week. This total maximum applies whether you send internal transfers (to other PayPal accounts) or external transfers, or a combination of internal and external transfers.

When are transfer limits reset?

Transfer limits will automatically reset every Friday.

What is the minimum transfer amount?

For internal transfers, the minimum transfer amount is $0.01 per transfer.

For external transfers, the minimum transfer amount is defined in the cryptocurrency being transferred as:

• BTC – .001 BTC
• LTC - .01LTC
• ETH – .01 ETH
• BCH – .01 BCH
• PYUSD - 10 PYUSD

Why can't I transfer?

The cryptocurrency transfers feature may be disabled on your account due to a variety of factors. Users with a negative balance will not be able to transfer cryptocurrencies. Additionally, pending cryptocurrency purchases, such as those purchased via bank transfer, may take several days to clear. Cryptocurrencies purchased with a debit card will be instantly available to transfer.
