Ida latest updates: Hurricane leaves 14 dead in New York and New Jersey after flash flooding

Con Edison teams were working to restore power to more than 21,000 customers in New York, the company's outage maps reported Thursday morning. More than 16,000 of those customers were without power in Westchester County, north of the Bronx, when the storm hit the area after midnight. Parts of the Bronx and Staten Island are also among the hardest hit areas, according to Con Edison. In New Jersey, Atlantic City Electric teams were evaluating power outages that affected more than 1,800 people.
