Interactive Brokers launches crypto trading in US for four tokens


The brokerage firm Interactive Brokers Group is allowing the company's registered investment advisers to trade four cryptocurrencies.

In an announcement Monday, Interactive Brokers said your registered investment advisers could trade and guard Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Litecoin (LTC) for customers using Paxos Trust Company. The firm reported that this service was currently available only to its advisers in the United States, but plans to launch crypto trading for global clients in the future.

"Allocating a small percentage of assets to cryptocurrencies as part of a well-diversified portfolio has become increasingly common, and advisers may want to recommend cryptocurrencies to their clients," said Interactive's executive vice president of marketing and product development. Based in the United States, Interactive Brokers falls under the purview of regulators, including the National Stock Market Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. As of October 1, the company reported 1.54 million customer accounts with $ 353.8 billion in capital.
