Former 'Love Island' star Jack Fincham has opened up about his battle with depression and addiction, admitting he's "really struggling."

Jack Fincham is "really struggling" with anxiety, depression, and addiction.

The former 'Love Island' star, who appeared on the show in 2018, opened up in a heartfelt and emotional video as she spoke of the "torrent" of online abuse she's been receiving.

In a video on Instagram, he said: "To talk about what's going on, I'm really struggling. I'm really struggling with anxiety and depression, addiction and today I have taken some good steps to get help.

"I can't do it on my own. In this industry of fame it's hard, it's so cutthroat. One minute people like you and one minute they don't.

"I've had a lot of fake friends come and go, I was shocked when I was in my dark space, all the people who said they would be there, they weren't.

"I'm not going to feel sorry for myself, I have my own responsibilities. I want to be a kind and personable person and I do my best."

Jack, who recently denied a drug-driving charge and split from 'TOWIE' star Frankie Sims, admitted he's hurt by the hatred of social media, but feels he needs to turn to his followers online.

He added: "The torrent of abuse on Instagram has really taken a toll on me. It couldn't be further from the truth. Words hurt and we see them.

"I thought I had thick skin, but obviously not, although I will come back, bigger and stronger. I turned off my likes and comments count because I was knocking myself down. I was putting myself in a bad space."

The 30-year-old star explained that the reason she was opening up was to try to encourage others to "talk about mental health."

He continued: "The reason I say this is that if I can help a person, I am happy.

"You should talk about mental health because it is serious, it is terrible. It affects you physically, you do not want to do anything or exercise. Get out of the house.

"I'm sorry this is depressing, but I wanted to address it because in the last few weeks I've had some nasty and exaggerated comments."

Jack feels like he has "let everyone down" but vowed that he has "turned the page" and is determined to "make everyone proud".

He wrote: "I want you to like me because of how you first saw me on TV, I hope you are well and send a lot of love. Sorry this was so bleak and sad. Keep going, you will come out the other side." I hope it does.

"I think people need to remember and observe themselves, people who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

"If someone does something bad, it doesn't mean they're a bad person. Like if someone does something good, it doesn't make them fucking Gandhi.

"I urge people to think before commenting or posting, believe me, it affects people.

"This hasn't even scratched the surface of the whole story, it's the most watered-down version you can get. I could make a movie, no, I won't, maybe. Something you wouldn't even believe."
