Among the areas affected by torrential rains is the city of Petra, where local media said the city's archaeological site has been evacuated to preserve the safety of tourists. The rain intensified in the south of the Kingdom, and the rain spread to the center and north of the Kingdom, and there was no information on the record of injuries. A statement issued by the Public Security Directorate warned of rising water levels in several areas, avoiding valleys and low-lying areas.

The Public Safety Directorate said most of the Kingdom's regions are now experiencing heavy rain, which has caused rising water levels, the formation of torrents and a slowdown in traffic due to pooling of water in some of the areas. these regions, particularly in the southern and central regions.

The Directorate stressed the need to avoid low-lying areas, valleys and torrential water courses, and not run the risk of crossing them and passing through higher areas. And he indicated that he put all his units and formations on hold to provide services to citizens and assist them in collaboration with all the institutions involved. The Directorate called on drivers to "use the utmost caution when driving, check the condition of the vehicle before driving, respect traffic regulations, avoid high speeds and commit dangerous offences."
