London crime: People on the Met Police wanted list

Every week, the police ask our readers for help in finding wanted suspects.

Wanted man

Detectives are renewing requests for help in tracking down a man they want to identify after anti-Semitic abuse on the bus.

Officers from the Met's Road and Transport Command continue to work to identify the man in the photo after a passenger on a bus in central London was subjected to a torrent of anti-Semitic abuse.

The incident occurred around 11:33 p.m. on Saturday, July 3. A man was reported to have made anti-Semitic comments and threats against a man on a Route 113 bus near Oxford Circus.

Do you know who it is?

Officers are aware of a video posted on social media after the incident and are in contact with the victim.

Despite extensive investigations, the man has not been identified at this time. There have been no arrests.

DCI Michael Dougall, CID RTPC Crime Manager said: โ€œThe Met takes hate crimes extremely seriously. Incidents of this nature against any individual or group will not be tolerated and will have no place in our city.

"The victim of this abuse was simply driving home on the bus. No one should have to go through that experience and we will act quickly and firmly in response to all reported crimes of this nature."

"Someone must recognize this man, so do the right thing and contact the police."

Wanted man

Officers are working to track down a man in connection with an unprovoked assault in Islington.

Police were contacted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, following a third-party report of an unprovoked assault on Whistler Street, N5.

The victim, a 25-year-old man, was reportedly walking down the street when a man approached him and punched him in the face without warning. The suspect then left the scene.

Officers spoke with the victim by phone after the incident. He had suffered a facial injury.

There have been no arrests.

They want to talk to the man in the photo and ask anyone who can identify him to tweet @MetCC or call 101, CAD reference 2818 / 06Aug21.

Wanted man

Officers investigating an assault on a bus driver in Harrow have posted a picture of a man they would like to speak to.

Police were called at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5 after the driver, a man in his 30s, was found injured outside the North Harrow subway station.

The officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service. The driver was reported to have been struck by a passenger whom he had challenged for not wearing a face mask.

The driver was taken to hospital where he received treatment for a head injury. He has since been discharged and has made a full recovery.

Detectives from the Met's Highway and Transportation Police Command are investigating and have recovered CCTV from the bus.

Following the events at Wembley and in central London on the day of the final, the Met's Public Order Crimes Team launched an investigation to identify those responsible for the crimes.

Detective Sgt. Matt Simpson of the Met's law enforcement offenses team said: โ€œWe are now seeking to identify 15 other individuals after our first appeal on Saturday, July 17.

"These people are wanted in connection with multiple different crimes that led to disorder in the Euro 2020 final."
