London weather: Met Office predicts exactly when heatwave will end as 32 hours of rain to batter London this weekend

London has experienced pleasant and sometimes overwhelming days of sun and heat in July.

The temperature reached heights of more than 30 ยฐ C and many huddled in parks and beaches to make the most of the warm but fleeting climate.

And it is indeed fleeting, as the capital's average temperatures will do so over the weekend, according to the Met Office's predictions.

The worst thing is that a torrent of rain will hit London.

Today (July 23) we are looking for a more temperate climate than the last few days with temperatures falling to 24 ยฐ C with sunny intervals in the middle of many clouds.

Although it's Saturday (July 24) when things get worse.




The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning, which means it's going to rain a lot, making the penultimate weekend in July pretty miserable.

The yellow warning reads: "Heavy rains and torrential rains that can cause flooding and transport disruptions in some places during the weekend."

Covers London, as well as parts of the Midlands and cities in the south west of England.

On Saturday temperatures will drop to 22 ยฐ C with light rain starting at 3 a.m. M.

It will get heavier as the day progresses, especially between 8 a.m. Until noon, you will have a 60 percent chance of rain.

The rain will continue slightly overnight through Sunday, which is forecast to see torrential rains during the day.

Temperatures will fluctuate between 17 ยฐ C and 21 ยฐ C as the rains continue throughout the day, making it quite humid.

The rain won't end there, as Monday and Tuesday will also experience some of it.

With amber warnings, the following information is provided and may or may not apply to London depending on the severity of the rain.

  • There is a small chance that homes and businesses will flood and damage some buildings.
  • When a flood occurs, there is a small possibility of delays or cancellations of train and bus services.
  • Splashes and floods can lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
  • There is a small chance that some communities will be cut off by flooded roads.
  • There is a small possibility of power outages and loss of other services in some homes and businesses.

So it seems like it's time to get the umbrellas out one more time and ditch the loungers when the unpredictable weather hits once more.
