Jack Fincham has opened up about her struggles with mental health in a candid post on social media.

The Island of love Star revealed that she is currently battling depression and anxiety, and had previously been in 'a really dark space' and experienced 'a lot of fake friends come and go'.

Sharing a lengthy video on Instagram Stories, Jack initially admitted that he had originally deleted the footage 'because he was embarrassed' but has now decided to share his story with his followers as his goal is to get help.

He wrote: 'Thank you for the amazing message of support, I am overwhelmed. I deleted the video because I was embarrassed, but I'm starting my road to recovery.

And believe me, the return will be stronger. #BEKIND (sic) '

In the clip, the 30-year-old began: 'I am really struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, and today I have taken some good steps to get help, because I cannot do it on my own.

'I think in this industry of fame, it's hard, it's so ruthless, one minute people like you, one minute people don't, I've had a lot of fake friends come and go, and I was really shocked when I was in my really dark space that all those people who said they would be there for me weren't there. '

Jack revealed that he has had to deal with 'a torrent of abuse on Instagram',

He continued: 'There have been some obstacles along the way and people have opinions about certain situations in my life. The torrent of abuse that I have been receiving on Instagram has really taken a toll on me. It couldn't be further from the truth. Words hurt and we see them.

'I thought he had thick skin, but obviously not. But I'll be back, bigger and stronger, don't worry. '

Jack revealed that he had turned off the counting of likes and comments for his Instagram posts as he was 'getting me down', saying he 'can't argue with thousands of people and give them my side of the story'.

The star admitted that despite the cruel comments she has received online, she has chosen to trust her followers as she feels that 'I have no one else to talk to other than my family.'

He said he will keep fans updated on his mental health journey, and he still has 'a lot of love to give'.

"The reason I say this is that if I can help a person, I am happy," he explained.

He added: 'People think it doesn't affect you, but it really affects you, it's not pleasant. The added pressure of whatever you do is reflected on your family, which is the worst pressure in the world. I feel like I've let everyone down.

"I promise everyone that I have turned the page and I want everyone to be proud."
