A group of anti-vaccine protesters caused long delays in Scotland's busiest motorway after demonstrating near a jab center.
The group, which is against the massive deployment of covid-19 jag for children 12 years and older, met near the M8 at West Lothian Wednesday morning.
Passing traffic slowed as they passed the Pyramids Business Park near Bathgate around 9 a.m. M.
Scotland traffic It warned motorists to expect delays of around 15 minutes during the morning rush hour.
They tweeted: โM8 congestion. Slow traffic on the M8 J5 eastbound to J3A due to a demonstration in Bathgate. It takes about 15 minutes. "
The delays are understood to have disappeared about 45 minutes later.
A walk-in vaccination clinic for anyone over the age of 12 opened in the business park on Monday, September 20.
A Scottish police spokesman said: โWe learned of a demonstration on the M8 near the Pyramids Business Park by Bathgate at around 7:50 am on Wednesday 22 September.
"Officers attended and interacted with the group that dispersed shortly after 9 am."
