Makers of ‘Anandham Vilayadum Veedu’ seek police action against video piracy – Social News XYZ

Chennai, December 26 (SocialNews.XYZ) The creators of the newly released Tamil film 'Anandham Vilayaadum Veedu' have filed a police complaint against websites, Telegram groups and torrent sites that have been illegally uploading the film online.

Producer P. Ranganathan, in his complaint to the police, said that his film, starring Gowtham Karthik, Cheran, Saravanan and others, had been released on December 24.

The producer said that after the film's release, various websites, Telegram groups, and torrent sites were illegally uploading their content online.

"We are the rightful owners of the digital rights and we have not sold our rights to any company or individual," said the producer.

"Our film is welcomed by family audiences and these illegal activities are hurting our box office receipts," said the producer, noting that such activities would not only affect him as a producer and the people who have gone to great lengths to get the film out. But it would also affect millions of people who work in the film industry in the long run.

"The cast and crew, along with me, are submitting a request to stop this piracy threat and save our livelihood," he said.
