Nepal Tightens Its Anti-Crypto Stance by Banning Access to Cryptocurrency Websites

Nepal has asked all ISPs to ban access to cryptocurrency-related websites. Will the country succeed in implementing the crypto ban?

The Nepalese authorities have vowed to toughen their stance against cryptocurrencies. Last year in April, the The Telecommunication Authority of Nepal (TPA) warned against the use of crypto instruments that are not legally recognized in the country.

The Nepal notice translates as: โ€œThe Nepal Telecommunication Authority has issued instructions to all Internet service providers (including email) to prevent the use, operation and management of virtual media, including networks in line within Nepal, and to make arrangements to prevent access. to such websites, applications or online networksโ€.

Can governments implement the crypto ban?
