A growing number of "right click usersThey are downloading NFT from left to right to show that 'owning' a digital artwork online is pointless.
And now they have a new home, thanks to Australian artist and programmer Geoffrey Huntley, Vice reports.
Huntley created a new torrent website called The NFT Bay, a tribute to The Pirate Bay, one of the oldest and largest torrent sites, which allows users to hack TV shows, movies, books, and games.
It is an especially pertinent topic, given the large amount of media attention that NFTs have been receiving recently thanks to a number of celebrity endorsements - but it is unlikely that the two warring factions will find common ground and bury the ax.
What the token
Huntley has already made 15 terabytes of NFT available for download. "Did you know that an NFT is just a hyperlink to an image that is usually hosted on Google Drive or another web 2.0 server?" a description of the site is read.
โAs web 2.0 webhosts are known to go offline, this handy torrent contains all the NFTs so that future generations can study this generation's tulip mania and collectively say 'WTF? Did we destroy our planet for THIS ?! '", keep going.

It is an unusual confrontation. On the one hand, crypto enthusiasts form tight-knit communities around collections of small JPG images or investing in digital art. And, on the other, an increasingly vocal contingent openly mocks this cause.
What makes it even weirder is the fact that NFT collectors are fully aware of the fact that anyone can just come in and right-click to save their art, and a massive new pirated archive won't change that hostile dynamic. .
