Opinion | Facebook’s promises of reform aren’t reassuring. They’re a sick joke.

I have never been a fervent enemy of Facebook, although I have not been an everyday user either. I spent time with some of the top executives at Facebook (not including founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg) and found them brilliant, personable, and great at projecting social conscience. However, their products are very different. The Haugen leaks make it clear how big the gap is between the friendly facade and the ugly reality.
