A York County man used the BitTorrent file-sharing website to send and receive child pornography for years, according to York County Police.
Darin Leroy Warren, 54, of the 600 block of Kise Mill Road in Newberry Township, was arrested Thursday on 12 felony counts; 6 child pornography and 6 spreading photos or movies of sexual acts with children, after months of investigations by the York Regional Police.
In June a warrant was issued to search Warren's home.
Newberry Township Police seized numerous electronic storage devices found in a basement recording studio, according to the criminal complaint.
The devices found 232 images and 238 videos showing child abuse, including the rape and torture of children as young as 6 months old.
Some of the files date from July 2015.
Warren was released on $ 1,500 bond.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 9 at 2 p.m.
