Penn State Shenango to Host Talk on Tax Policy, Cryptocurrency

SHARON, Pa. โ€“ Accounting professor Sabrin Stewart will speak on corporate tax policy and cryptocurrency at Penn State Shenango at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.

During the discussion, part of the faculty lecture series, Stewart will break down what business owners need to know about taxes. He will also discuss how companies should prepare for the tax implications of cryptocurrencies.

โ€œVarious stakeholders are increasingly turning their attention to cryptocurrencies in corporate settings, creating a need for comprehensive tax law,โ€ Stewart said. "As cryptocurrencies continue to evolve and organizations adopt them as forms of payment, there are calls for digital currencies to be accounted for under a standard financial reporting framework."

The conference is free and open to the public, but registration is required. HERE. For more information, call Tasha Lambert at 724 983 2825.
