Piers Morgan mocks Boris Johnsonโ€™s hair

Piers Morgan he has mocked Boris Johnson for looking like Worzel Gummidge after the prime minister posted a video about his controversy over self-isolation.

Over the weekend, Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak sparked anger after they revealed that the NHS Test and Trace app had pinged them, but said they would not isolate themselves.

The couple said they would participate in a pilot plan to test every day that would allow them to continue working from Downing Street rather than isolate themselves for 10 days, but soon U-turn after a torrent of complaints.

Commenting on the video, in which Johnson spoke about his self-isolation with his famous messy strands of hair, Morgan tweeted: "Boris Johnson tells us to abide by the rules he intended to circumvent until everyone wishes. [sic] walnuts.

"What a mess, but what else can you expect from a guy who can't even bother brushing his hair when addressing the British?

"You are the Prime Minister, not Worzel Gummidge."

Morgan later endorsed his son Spencer in a tweet about "Freedom Day" and reopening of discos.

Spencer wrote: "Today you will see many older people complaining that young people are finally enjoying the best part of being young. Many of these people will also call their younger years" the best of their lives. "Today's youth sacrificed 17 months of yours for them I should be grateful "

Morgan retweeted the post, writing: "My oldest son and I have vehemently disagreed about a lot of things in the pandemic, but I understand this sentiment. When I was his age (27), I loved nightclubs. It's been a very 16 months. hard for that industry and for those who support it and like to go clubbing. "
