Poll bond: Gujarat firm, Bajaj gave AAP most ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha polls | Delhi News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Data released by the EC shows that Bajaj group and Gujarat-based Torrent Pharmaceuticals were among the major contributors to the AAP's electoral war chest for the 2019 LS elections. The AAP was one of the parties that revealed details of its donors for the January-May period of 2019.
During this period he received Rs 5.75 million through electoral bonds. Of this, 3 crore came from Bajaj cluster. Another million came from Torrent Pharma and another million from BG Shirke Construction Technology Pvt Ltd, a Pune-based company. These three accounted for 5 crores. Bengaluru-based KMZ Investments was the only other major contributor with Rs 50 lakh.
Interestingly, Delhi-based companies or individuals accounted for only Rs 5,01,000 of AAP's electoral bond contributions during this period and Punjab-based companies or individuals did not figure in the list at all.
