TERMS OF USE
By sending a press release and/or subscribing to a subscription to our service Spread the wordYou agree to the following terms of use, limitations, quality policy and fair use policy.
Spread the word reserves the right to suspend or delete your account if it believes that any of the following terms have not been met. Spread the word reserves the right to remove any content that does not comply with the following terms and policies.
1. Accuracy
By using Spread the word, you agree to post only information that you know to be true and accurate. You are solely responsible for the facts and accuracy of all information submitted by you for distribution by Spread the word. Spread the word will use reasonable efforts to correct any factual errors of which it becomes aware.
2. Acceptable content
You agree to only submit content that can be classified as a "news advertisement." That is to say: it is a new event or statement related to the company or organization under which the statement is sent. You agree not to use Spread the word to distribute how-to articles, general information articles, technical documents or opinions. You must not submit content that infringes the copyright or proprietary rights of any third party, or is illegal or offensive. Posts must meet professional standards and may be removed if they do not. You acknowledge that we reserve the right to edit the title, subject and body text of your communication to ensure it is appropriate, relevant and fit for purpose.
3. Attribution
You agree to submit content only on behalf of the organization to which the communication is being sent. Content that could be considered misleading in terms of who is submitting the material or who the content is related to should not be posted and may be removed or edited. When submitting a communication, you must be the owner of the email that is used to send emails through Spread the word.
4. Categorization
You agree to categorize the content only into those categories that are relevant to the content. In general, we recommend that attempts to classify content into more than five categories will result in that content being reviewed and possibly removed. You acknowledge that we reserve the right to edit release tags to ensure that your release is sent only to relevant people.
5. Linking and Fair Use
You agree not to add more than one link to a website in any press release. Overlinking is not permitted solely for search engine optimization purposes and is discouraged due to penalties that may be associated with overlinking. And our gremlins will chase down excessive links and remove such transgressions.
