Pune petrol dealers face CNG shortage; blame Torrent Gas

In Pune, the Gasoline Distributors Association has raised concerns about the shortage of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) supply from Torrent Gas to pumps in the district. This problem has persisted for the past month without any resolution, according to Dhruv Ruparel, president of the association. As a result, customers suffered inconvenience and had to leave without filling CNG due to dry pumps for 8 to 14 hours daily, which affected all pumps offline in the district.

Ruparel has reported that Torrent Gas executives have been informed of the problem but have not taken any action. Distributors had no choice but to raise their concerns with the district supply officer and Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) officials. The association has urged the administration to take action against Torrent Gas over the CNG shortage in rural Pune.

The CNG shortage not only affects customers, but also causes dealers to suffer business losses. The association has stressed that Torrent Gas must take charge of the issue and restore the CNG supply to the pumps as soon as possible. Authorities have yet to respond to the association's request for action.
