Reddit back up: Site resolves โ€˜major outageโ€™ after nearly 6 hours

Social media platform Reddit is back online after it identified and implemented a fix for a "major outage" that made browsing impossible for desktop and mobile users for nearly six hours.

The platform first noticed that it was offline at 7:18 p.m. UTC, according to Reddit. Stateand said it was working to identify the problem.

About 30 minutes later, at 7:56pm UTC, he said that he had identified an internal issue in the systems and is working to determine a fix, finding a confirmed fix about two hours later, stating:
