SAM advised SBI in connection with the granting of financial assistance for the massive amount of INR 1200 crore to Torrent Power.
Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. advised the State Bank of India in granting financial assistance through a term loan in rupees to Torrent Power Limited.
The assistance was used by the Borrower for the purpose of capital expenditures related to improvement, maintenance and expansion, primarily for its distribution franchise and distribution license business. The deal was valued at approximately $146 million and the expected closing date of the deal was September 29, 2022.
