Charnwood residents are encouraged to support their local streets and businesses in the run-up to Christmas.
Small Business Saturday returns on December 2 and asks people across the country to shop small.
Broadleaf Midlands Tree Care, a Shepshed-based business, has been selected as one of the country's 100 most impressive small businesses by the Small Business Saturday campaign.
Cllr Jennifer Tillotson, Council lead member for economic development, regeneration and town centres, said: โOur high streets and local businesses are very important to the Council and the local community so it is vital we support them.
โSmall Business Saturday is a great way to showcase our businesses and I would encourage all residents to shop locally this weekend and in the run-up to Christmas.
"It's fantastic to see a Charnwood-based business in Broadleaf Midlands Tree Care included in Small Business Saturday's top 100. A big congratulations to them."
Broadleaf Midlands Tree Care was selected for its positive spirit and the work it does within the community.
It pledged to donate a sapling for every tree it removed and has so far donated 300. It also provided 60 trees in the local community and planting advice as part of the Queen's Green Canopy, an initiative also supported by the City Council.
